Simón is a cat from Chile who made friends with a mouse when he was spotted drinking from the same bowl as the stranger mouse.
The owner, Benjamín Sagredo Reyman, recalled the incident with T13:
I had been listening to noises for several days and one day, in the morning, I was about to go to the kitchen and I spotted Simon with the mouse, as if they were friends.
The little mouse apparently shared days ago with him in the water pot. So I decided to go and leave him in the square in front. We named him ‘Chefcito’.
Sagredo described Simon’s personality:
Simon is a very friendly cat and has been raised with two border collies. He is just another dog.
