If you happen to own several pets at the same time, you can totally understand that they don’t always get along very well. There could be wrestlings, there could be fights, there could be flying fur or even blood sometimes. Not all animals are born friendly, but if you care enough and pay attention to their feelings and seriously try to change their behaviors, you can do magic for sure.
Pip was born in Louise’s hand and she loved him so much. Because Pip’s mother was really sick when she gave birth, this little black kitty suffered a rare condition called cerebellar hyperplasia (CH), which caused problems in controlling movement and coordination. In other words, he could barely stand up, let alone walk. There’s no cure for his situation and the poor boy had to deal with it for the rest of his life, not to mention he only had one eye.
All the struggles in his daily life made Pip unhappy and it was the reason why he was extremely mean to Louise’s other cat, a long-hair tabby male named Red.
Pip hated Red and always attempted to attack him whenever he got the chance. In fact, Red wasn’t the only terrified one. Louise’s housemate, Terra was scared of the aggressive kitty too.
Louise loved her two cats wholeheartedly, but she couldn’t stand them fighting all the time either. Pip and Red saw each other as mortal enemies for years and it wasn’t until cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy kindly stepped in that things were turned upside down.
So, what did they do exactly? Under Jackson’s guide, Louise made her floor less slippery in her house so that Pip could be able to move and play with his new toys there easily, and she also gave Red a special spot to watch Pip’s body language from high above. Even Terra took part in changing their house into a more comfortable place for them both to live in.
Once Red started to understand Pip’s thoughts and Pip started to gain more self-confidence, it’s time to merge their worlds. They used to live in separate worlds, but the borders were gradually erased and both of them unconsciously began to cross the line without seeing the other as a threat. Peace slowly appeared in the house, isn’t it great?
