Staff at Mill Road Vet Clinic in New Zealand turned up for work one morning to find a box of kittens at their door.
There was four of them roughly 3 to 4 weeks-old, they thought they’d probably been abandoned by their mother but then something peculiar happened in the course of the next 24 hours.
A tabby cat kept showing up at the door of the clinic, struggling to sneak in each and every time the door was opened.
The staff wondered what this was all about, but it wasn’t until the cat managed to sneak past someone when the door was open, that they realized what was going on.
It was now as clear as day that the four fluffy kittens actually belonged to her, she was their mother.
Since the secret was revealed the staff let the mother cat into the room where the kittens were kept and they had a tear-jerking reunion.
It was now thought that the mother cat was most likely left in the box with her kittens but had gone off to look for food or take a quick break away from the kids.
This feline family has now been adopted by a relative of someone that works at the clinic so all’s well that ends well.
