Rescuers Take Six Kittens And Their Mom Out Of Drain, They Are Now In Safe

It is a sad truth that kittens are born every day in terrible conditions. These babies were born in a storm drain in a parking lot. The people who found the kittens called Hope For Paws for help. When the rescuers came, they immediately surrounded the manhole with plastic fencing and joined the rescue mission.

There were two kittens inside the drain at that time, so the team caught them easily with a control net. Terri and Eldad entered the pipe with a carrier where they placed the kittens inside. The cats looked cute but scared. At the same time, Loreta and JoAnn were dealing with four frightened babies on the other side of the pipe. As the pipe was too small for them to come in, they put a trap outside and waited for the kittens to go out. However, only one of the girls jumped into the trap.

The team thought it was not too difficult to catch the kittens, but things turned out the opposite. They had to run back and forth between the two sides of the drain and needed support from electric equipment. After hours of trying, Terri rescued two more kittens, but there was still one baby left. She was shy, scared, and didn’t want to come out of the pipe. Therefore, Eldad and Loreta decided to push her out with a rope.

Eventually, six girls were taken out of the drain. They were driven to the care home for a medical checkup. Six baby kittens were Sporty, Scary, Baby, Posh, Spicy, and Ginger. After the bath, the kittens felt more relaxed. They enjoyed a good meal before falling asleep.

On the same day, the team came back to the rescue location to catch the kitten’s mother. Mom Spice was a feral cat, so the rescuers released her after she had been sterilized. Her babies are now in special care at the foster home. They were cheerful girls who love playing, eating, and jumping on each other. Hopefully, they will find their loving homes in the future.
