If you need more reasons to believe in our inner strength, this small kitten is right here to put a smile on your face. Surviving a huge fire at only 5 weeks old, Dobby the ginger tabby is an inspirational reminder to never give up no matter how rough life gets.
The kitten was rescued by firefighters during a garage fire in the Greater Sudbury area, Canada two years ago. After saving the cat, the kind-hearted men quickly rushed him to the Walden Animal Hospital in Lively.
The staff at the hospital was really worried about their tiny patient, his body was damaged with third-degree burns and they were not sure if he would be able to recover both physically and mentally after such a horrible experience. But thankfully, he did.
The baby boy didn’t mind having sock-like bandages on his paws. He was named Dobby after the famous house elf in “Happy Potter” – who was freed from enslavement after receiving a sock.
Under the care of the compassionate vets and nurses there, the little warrior recovered impressively fast. As he got stronger and stronger day by day, Dobby gradually regained his zest for life. He began to run and play like any other kitten out there.
Several days later, Dobby got to meet Rob Maguire – a kind man who heard about him on the internet and decided to pay him a visit. Dobby was so happy with Maguire’s comfort and their bond bloomed right away.
Right after Dobby fully recovered, Maguire immediately adopted Dobby out and brought him to his home in Manitowaning, Manitoulin Island – where Dobby is introduced to his black cat Norisle.
Dobby and Norisle rapidly became best friends, they loved to hang out with each other all the time.
Two years have passed and Dobby is now one of the happiest cats in this world. He has transformed into a light-hearted, lively handsome boy and is busy living his life to the fullest daily alongside his best pal. Isn’t it great?
Let’s take a peek at some remarkable moments of Dobby’s life:
