After buying a boat and bringing it home (traveling across several states), a family found two tiny kittens inside. The kittens were so young that they hadn’t even opened their eyes!
Introducing Pistachio and Raisin!
The kittens were taken to a foster home after the family brought them to the shelter – they were so young and would need around the clock care from someone with experience. And that was where they found their foster mom.
They were only nine days old but with plenty of help from their foster mum, kitten formula and a warm blanket, they were beginning to respond.
The these tiny little fur babies, who hadn’t yet opened their eyes, found the right foster mom with experience to give them round the clock care.
“We tell them apart by their fur- the one on the left is curly – thus he is nicknamed Curly so the one on the right is Moe.”
When they reached 2 weeks old, they were still very much underweight, but they were getting stronger and ready to explore their surroundings!
Here’s little Pistachio (Curly) weighing in at 137 grams and Raisin (Moe) at 121 grams.
Little Raisin giving her foster mom a hug. Just look at those tiny jelly beans!
The family that had found them were eager to adopt them once they were big enough and were given the go ahead once they were big enough for their spay/neuter surgeries!
Here they are now, as you can see they’ve come a long way since they were found as stowaways!
