А Little Вoy Decides Тhat It Is Тime For Нis Сat Аnd Нis Neighbor’s Сat Тo Мarry

Ashley Shields received an odd item in her mailbox last week: a wedding invitation. Pedro, her own cat, was supposed to marry Silver, a cat that belonged to Brady, her 11-year-old neighbor.

This came as a great shock to Shields, who is 33 years old.

The invitation stated, “You are invited!” “Pedro will be Silver’s bride. There will be tuna cake and silver, and Pedro will be well attired. If you do come, you are not required to dress up, although you may do so if you like.”

Silver and Pedro’s affair had apparently been going on for years. According to Shields’ good friend Carley Johnson, the two cats often canoodled outside. Brady had taken note.

“He’d seen them hang out a lot, and he was like, ‘I’m not sure what they’re doing, but I felt it was probably time they get married because they hang out so much,” Johnson recalled.

Johnson had her own perspective on the situation. “Pedro is most likely just bored of the game and eager to relax,” she explained.

Everyone stepped in to assist the felines in their preparations for the big day. Shields and her four children set up a ceremony in their dining room; a friend fashioned Pedro a bowtie and Silver a veil; Johnson provided pastries.

The wedding day for the cats occurred two days later.

Silver seemed to pour attention on her like an usual bride. “Silver looked a little giddy about being all dressed up and elegant,” Johnson observed.

Pedro, however, was a different story.

Silver seemed to pour attention on her like an usual bride. “Silver looked a little giddy about being all dressed up and elegant,” Johnson observed.

Shields was the ideal candidate to preside over the wedding since she is legally qualified to officiate marriages in the state of Iowa, according to Johnson.

“She described how the cats met, talked about how the cats felt for one other, and then she performed the’me-vows’ she had written for both Pedro and Silver,” Johnson explained.

While the bride and groom milled around after the ceremony, the guests drank champagne and ate cake.

“It was a very standard reception,” Johnson remarked.

The cats now have a marriage to work on now that the wedding is finished. Regardless of what happens, Johnson believes Pedro and Silver have a promising future ahead of them.

“Whether or not they stay married, given the amount of time they spend together, they appear a little crazy for each other,” Johnson remarked. “I believe cat companionship lasts a lifetime.”
